* 필리스틴(Filistin) : 한국인이 ‘팔레스타인’이라고 부르는 나라의 정식 국호. 한국이 ‘한궈(한어漢語)’나 ‘간고쿠(일본어)’가 아니듯이, 필리스틴은 팔레스타인이 아니다.

* 담(DAM) : 필리스틴의 랩 그룹. 푸스하(표준 아랍어)로 ‘피(血. blood)’라는 뜻. 필리스틴 사람이자, 아랍 무슬림인 남성들이 모여서 만든 랩 그룹이다. 아랍 가락과 정서가 섞인 랩으로 시온주의자(시오니스트)들의 팔레스타인 침략과 점령을 고발하며, 아랍 사회의 여성 문제나 마약 복용 같은 내부 문제도 파헤친다.
